I've never had any desire to be Melpemone. Though some days, I raid her wardrobe, Or nibble at a pomegranate, intentionally rueful. A talentless, juice-stained tragedian am I, waiting for you to notice how sorry I am, hoping my regret will be as believable as these Vaseline tears. Let the Muses weep at my shoddy dissembling, black robed and barefoot, curled upon a disintegrating velvet chaise-- suspiciously rosy-cheeked. Yes, I suppose I'm just not cut out for the tragedy business.

| Her Majesty |
[31 Mar 2005|05:29pm] |
When her majesty entered the harbor Everyone stopped to watch her Gliding under the bridge With a regal train of twilight That glistened all the way back to the lighthouse. A solemn nocturnal parade, Entirely too mystical for a barge just passing through Portsmouth, Yet even the tugboats mustered what reverence they could In the still and viscous night.

Well. Looks like I'm back to good ol' deadjournal since elle jaye is a piece o' shit.
Here's my picture prompt to go along with Camilly's: (Remember, all responses must be in English in order to be scored. Only write on the lined section. Do not write in the margins or continue writing after you have run out of lined pages. When the instructor says stop, put down your pencil and close your test booklet and your answer booklet. You will have 40 minutes for this section of the test. You may begin.)

Happy New Year, DeadJournal!!
WITH TEETH is finally done!!!!! w00t.
So, new year. Yeah. Definitely need to write more this year. Like, poetry, prose...all neatly dancing around the unrequited love theme. If I can. Wow, I would really love to sit down and read a stack of submissions from Emphasizers, but alas, there are none. People are probably afraid their work sucks...sadly, many times they're right. But if they don't submit it, we can't help them fix it, and then it can't go in the magazine, and then we don't have a club anymore. So I don't care how bad it is. That's what we're here for.

OK. Either Camillia needs to stop having disturbed dreams, or I need to stop asking her about them.

Poor neglected deadjournal. Just like the dead themselves, your memory slowly erodes with time.
Et le blah blah blah.
Peut-etre j'ecrive en francais ce soir. (Parce que je suis tombée amoureuse de Stephen Colbert, qui "est francais, bitch.") Mais j'ai oublié tout. Zut! L'école est utile quelquefois. Pas facile ou amusante, mais utile. Eh, bien. C'est la derniere année de Valley! (Une chose tres célebrée)
Ouch. That was so weak. I should forget French and just try to learn Russian. My accent is definitely better suited for that.
Daily Show in an hour! Stephen, don't let me down!

"La Valse D'Amélie" ~ Yann Tiersen |

Whee! Had some Paquita this weekend. And some Cinderella too. It was a little bit special, but I thought we did generally alright. And not like anyone knows who these people are, but I <3 Konstantin and Julia...awesomest married ballet people ever. Mari was a very cute Cinderella on Sunday...and all 800-some children loved her. (update: still hate children)
Well...ballet was interesting tonight. Was not expecting Albert (still puzzled by non-Russian name?) to be in class...especially since he's in the company...he doesn't need to come to our class. He's a special one alright. I shouldn't be too hard on him; he kinda has no idea what's going on. No, I should definitely be hard on him; it's funnier. Lynne said he was smiling at me in class today...of course I didn't notice because I'm a tardbucket, and I really don't care anyway. Ah, those silly Russians...

What would you do if you knew how your life would turn out? Stop trying and just let things happen? Try extra hard to change the future? Would it make you feel more or less comfortable? Afraid? Accepting? At what point is it too much information? Would knowing one thing only make you want to know more?

So, I've been thinking a lot lately. Mostly because other people are thinking, and it's a damn sad thing how contagious thinking can be. Except, I'm not thinking about my life. Or at least this life. I read a very interesting book this summer about reincarnation and the nature of death. Death brings us back to a neutral place, the same place we visit every night while we're dreaming. From here, we decide what we want our next life to be like, and guide spirits tell us what lessons we need to learn. The only problem is, when you get to earth, nothing goes like you planned it and you can't remember your past lives. Once you go through this cycle enough times, your soul progresses to a higher level of being, a new dimension. The cool thing about this is that if you go to a hypnotherapist, he or she can help you regress back to your past lives and remember the major events of your lives, what people you knew and how you knew them, and how you died in each one. From this, you can figure out what lessons you learned, or still need to learn, and how these lessons can assist you in your current life.
So. I really want to know how I knew people in past lives. One time, a psychic told my parents that they had been brothers in a past life. What relationships did I have with my friends and family? When was I male or female? When love is really strong, does it continue into the next life? I'd really like to know.
So...just out of curiosity...how do you think you knew me in a past life? What feeling do you get when you're around me? Was I your mom or dad? Were you my parent or spouse? Remember, what your gender and age are now have nothing to do with what you were in the past. The roles might be reversed, the same, or something totally wacky. And tell me what time I knew you. It could be from anytime in thousands of years of history. Don't just write a story, go with your instinct. I really think it would be cool if your ideas matched mine.
